Occupational health & safety

This policy is aimed to outline and incorporate the most recent industry health and safety standards for sign language interpreters, including relevant research drawn from European and international best practices. This guide is intended for working interpreters, interpreting students and educators, and those who employ or procure the services of interpreters.

Communications policy (committee)

This policy covers internal committee communications. CISLI aim to achieve clarity and accuracy, as well as openness, approachability and legibility in all its communications, internal and external, with a particular emphasis on accessibility for the Deaf community.

members’ communication policy

This policy relates to the use of CISLI’s communications systems, including the CISLI website and CISLI social media and social media fora, such as (but not limited to) Zoom, Facebook and Whataspp, and the conduct of members when using these systems. It sets out the required standards for membership of all CISLI communication systems and illustrates inappropriate conduct.
