Terms of Reference
1. Role/Purpose
- To investigate Dispute Resolution Procedures and report findings back to CISLI
2. Term
- The term of the committee will be determined by the main CISLI committee
3. Membership
- The committee will comprise of:

Lisa Harvey
Frankie Berry
Joanne Chester (external consultant)
Caroline McGrotty (external consultant)
- Members will be nominated/approved by the CISLI committee and/or the sub-committee
4. Roles & Responsibilities
- The committee will seek to investigate current industry norms and best practice with regard to dispute resolution, complaints procedures and the ownership of each.
- While communicating with our counterparts internationally to gather this information the committee will also take into account any other information shared with regards to Ethics, Complaints, Disciplinary action and any other information deemed relevant by the group.
- Pauline Mc Mahon will chair the committee with further members roles to be decided later on a needs be basis.
- Members of the committee will commit to keep in regular contact with each other as information is gathered and support each other in the production of a report for the CISLI committee.
- Members agree to meet in person when necessary and continue communication through email to share information gathered.
- Members will undertake to carry out the tasks appointed to them in a timely manner.
5. Meetings
- All meetings will be chaired by Pauline Mc Mahon as the group lead.
- Pauline will appoint and organise further roles where necessary.
- Meetings will be held when the chair deems it to be necessary and will be held in a convenient location at a time that suits the majority.
- All meetings will be carried out in Irish Sign Language.
6. Amendment, Modification or Variation
- The terms of reference may be modified with consensus from the sub-committee or recommendations from the CISLI committee.
