Sub-Committee: Constitutional Review

Introduction
The CISLI committee propose establishing a sub-committee to review the constitution of the organisation. The review process will encompass areas such as readability, consistency and ensuring that the various sections reflect the spirit of the organisation and the partnership agreement with the Irish Deaf society. The sub-committee will submit suggestions for constitutional amendment to the CISLI committee. The committee will review all proposals and may, after review, bring appropriate amendments to the membership for approval at a General Meeting.
Terms of Reference
To review the CISLI constitution paying particular reference to:
- Readability
- Consistency
- Operational best-practice
- The ethos of CISLI
To submit written recommendations to the CISLI committee outlining proposed amendments to the constitution (including a rationale for amendments (where appropriate)
In instances where a recommendation for deletion of a section or concept is made, the sub-committee should submit proposals for an alternative method to address the concept (where appropriate)
